Dr. Candace De Puy, Ph.D., LCSW

Dr. De Puy, (pronounced: “De – Pwee”) has been a speaker at medical schools, universities’ women’s studies departments, psychology institutes, national women’s organizations.  She has consulted with The Women’s Initiative at the White House and has given a Congressional Briefing in Washington, D.C. to educate Congress about how politicizing abortion has a negative impact on women’s lives.

From 1982-1988, Dr. De Puy was faculty at New York University and has been either an adjunct or guest lecturer at several other universities.  She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California, and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in New York.  She leads retreats in California, as well as in Alaska, Holland and Spain.  She has a private psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles where she practices Mindfulness Meditation and includes it in her work with patients.

Dr. Dana Dovitch, Ph.D., MFCC

Dr. Dovitch  is a licensed psychotherapist, author, public speaker and educator.

Dr. Dovitch has written numerous articles, appeared as an expert on local and international radio, including NPR, and been a guest on national television shows.   She has taught at universities and lectured to corporate, spiritual and lay organizations.  Dr. Dovitch has also presented at a United States Congressional Briefing in Washington, D.C. and to the White House Women’s Initiative on the politics of post-abortion healing.

Dana’s work as a psychotherapist, author and educator has been shaped by her graduate education in both Clinical Psychology and Art-Education and by her professional and personal studies in Buddhism, Buddhist Psychology and Mindfulness Meditation of which she is a Certified Instructor.
